(ENGLISH TEXT BELOW)
Salve esploratori dei Fuorisalone! Come sta andando?
Come arrivare:
Come arrivare:
- Auto: Prendere AutoLaghi A8 (Milano – Varese), diramazione AutoTrafori A26 (Genova – Alessandria – Gravellona Toce) e prendere l’uscita Arona – Stresa -Gravellona Toce.
Come arrivare:
- Auto: Prendere Autostrada A4 Milano-Venezia, uscita Bergamo.
-
Come arrivare:
Come arrivare:
Buon viaggio!

Hey good people! How’s going your week?
Today we want to tempt you with something different ,I’m talking especially to our foreigner guests.
Why don’t you take advantage of these warm days and treat yourself with a relaxing day out of the city?
Milan offers many things, including a transport network connected to several areas of interest that can be reached in more or less 1 hour. After so much “work” visiting showrooms, hours of shopping I think you deserve it.
So here’s my 5 destinations shortlist…
1. Lago di Como
The famous location of “I Promessi Sposi” (The Betrothed), Alessandro Manzoni’s masterpiece. Como can be reached easily, once arrived you can take a rekaxing walk along the lake or enjoy the views directly on the water with some boat trip and maybe visit the small but charming Comacina Island .
How to get there:
By Car : Follow the signs Como / Varese / Autostrada Laghi and then take the A9 Lainate -Como- Chiasso.
To get to Como city, exits are: Como Sud or Monte Olimpino
To continue along the western shore take Como Nord exit .
Train from Milano Centrale or Milan Porta Garibaldi, railway line Milano-Como -Chiasso Como San Giovanni , or from Milan Cadorna connections to Lake Como ( Milan – Saronno – Lake Como ) .
2. Lago Maggiore
Lake Maggiore , also known as Lake of Locarno, lies partly on the Italian territory and in part on the Swiss . The lake is home to several islands , including the beautiful Borromeo Islands.

3. Bergamo
Bergamo is a beautiful city just a few kilometers from Milan that offers a spectacular view on the landscape below and the pleasure of walking through the narrow streets of the Old Town . A perfect option especially for those who fly low-cost from Orio al Serio , a nice visit before you leave !
How to get there:
By car: Take the motorway A4 Milano-Venezia , exit Bergamo.
By train: From Milano Centrale or Milan Porta Garibaldi train Milan -Bergamo , the train station is located in the lower town , Bus departures for the Old Town every 10 minutes.
4.Lago di Garda
The largest italian lake welcomes every year thousands of Italian and foreign tourists , especially Germans, who enjoy its landscapes, its bathing areas , the gastronomy and wines ( I only say that one of the most popular Italian wines “Bardolino” is called after the omonimous city on the lake’s shores, should I say more ? ) , amusement parks as Gardaland to satisfy your “inner child” .
And all around the lake dozens of other places to visit, such as Salò, or Verona, just to name a few .
How to get there:
By car: Take the motorway A4 ( Milan -Venice) and exit at Brescia Est or Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione.
By train: from Milano Centrale or Milan Porta Garibaldi train Milan – Brescia, Desenzano del Garda stop .
5.Torino
The same distance of Lake Garda but on the opposite side ,I suggest not to miss the opportunity to visit “the livingroom of Italy” as they call it ( I do not know exactly why it is called so I can personally say that whenever I find myself walking through its streets and under its arcades I feel as I live there since always.
Another suggestion , don’t forget to paya visit to the coffee-bar ” Al Bicerin ” , a small room already appreciated from celebrities as Dumas , Picasso and Hemingway. Either you have to wait or you find a free table immediatly, go there and ask for a “Bicerin” (a mix of coffee-chocolate and milk cream.
How to get there:
By car: Take the motorway A4 ( Milan -Venice) and exit at Brescia Est or Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione.
By train: from Milano Centrale or Milan Porta Garibaldi train Milan – Brescia, Desenzano del Garda stop.
As you can see, you can discover amazing places out of the city, easily and in just one day. You wont even need to stay out for the night, actually you could even come back on time just for the Happy Hour!
HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY!
